Since we started using Ice Slicer exclusively in 1999 we have had up to a 75% reduction in material use and approximately a 50% savings in snow fighting costs per storm. Since we not longer need to use sand for traction, because Ice Slicer gives good traction, we have reduced our post storm sweeping and clean up by approximately 300 hours per year and saved up to $ 60000 in  sweeping disposal costs per year. There are also no more citizen complaints about sandy grit blowing off the streets damaging property and pitting windshields. We seldom get complaints from citizens about salty white brine. We also use Ice Slicer on our parking lots and sidewalks and have had no adverse affects to our grass or plants. In general, I think everyone is pleased with Ice Slicer including the citizens.

 IceSlicer: We have been using Ice Slicer for 4 years now.  Using it has proved to be one of the best decisions we ever made.  Besides the double bang, the product provides both traction and melting, it saved us over $64,000 the first year we used it, in cleanup costs alone.  There is almost nothing left to clean after the product has done its job.  Although we use the Caliber M1000 liquid as an anti-icer, we find that in the dead of winter, the granular Ice Slicer works better for us as both as an anti-icer and as a deicer.  Now that our equipment has Ground Speed Control, we can optimize our use and get the best possible results.

We have used the liquid deicer/anti-icer, Caliber M1000, for 4 years.  We use it mostly in the fall and spring as an anti-icer.  We find that, in the dead of winter, with our extremely low temperatures and high winds, the granular works better.  But during the spring and fall, whenever we can, we use the liquid.  It works extremely well as an anti-icer, preventing the snow and ice from bonding to the pavement surface.  We have just purchased a new slip-in tank for our tandems, that will distribute the Caliber M1000 using Ground Speed Control that will optimize our gallons-per-lane-mile rate for the storm.  We are extremely pleased with the results we're getting from the Caliber M1000.
