Road Saver         

Road Saver is a liquid magnesium chloride product designed for deep soil penetration and maximum control of dust. Road Saver works to control dust and stabilizes aggregate and dirt surfaces on virtually any type of road. Road Saver helps in road base stabilization by increasing base strength and reducing compaction costs. On road shoulders, Road Saver will maintain a firm, tight surface increasing shoulder safety and reducing maintenance costs.

DMC Blends:

DMC Blends are special Desert Mountain products that are proven superior road binder's that have been tried and tested by Desert Mountain and the majority of our customers. These product's contains a blend of Magnesium Chloride, and Ligninsulfonate ®. All these products combined not only make a far superior product it is more environmentally safe as well.

WHAT IS A CUSTOM BLEND? One dust suppressant is not enough. Desert Mountain Corporation is able to combine a variety of dust control products to arrive at the right mix for your dust control situation. Whether the surface to treat has more fines than gravel, or is made up of large-sized gravel with no fines, or somewhere in between, Desert Mountain Corporation personnel can help determine what blend is right for you.

Ligninsulfonate:

Ligninsulfonate - an alternative to road chlorides for dust control. Ligninsulfonate are derived from lignin, a naturally occurring polymer found in wood that acts like glue holding the cellulose fibers of pulp together. During the pulping process, Lignin is separated from the wood and undergoes an extensive process and eventually becomes an ammonium or sodium based ligninsulfonate. Ligninsulfonate work by binding the road surface particles together. Water evaporates from the ligninsulfonate as it dries and the dust particles are trapped by the high-viscosity, naturally sticky material. In addition, over time some of the ligninsulfonate become completely insoluble due to solar heating

Envirotac II        

Envirotac II is a acrylic polymer. Acrylic Polymers are very versatile, and used in many applications including dust control erosion control and even in road stabilization. They can be applied very easily and is very affordable and reliable. This product is also used by the U.S. Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, they call it: "Magic Glue, or Rhino Snot" because of its white color and slippery texture.  Envirotac II come ready to use in a concentrated form. The product may be cut with water anywhere between a 4 to 1 ratio, all the way up to a 12 to 1 ratio. Ask one of our sales professionals which cut works best for your particular application.

 

X-hesion:          

X-hesion is a non-chloride proprietary formulation of agriculturally derived complex organic polymers. These polymers function to stabilize several types of road base materials by binding the base materials together while maintaining a road surface that is flexible and water resistant. The use of X-hesion results in a road surface that is compact, water resistant, and durable. Using X-hesion as a road stabilization product will help eliminate chlorides being introduced into the environment. X-hesion will help bind smaller dust particles together and in turn help reduce dust to a PM10 standard.

Calcium Chloride:

Calcium chloride is made up of calcium and chlorine. It is highly soluble in water. One of its primary uses is for dust control and road stabilization on dirt roadways. Its hygroscopic nature helps keep a layer on the surface of the roadway, which holds the dust down. Calcium chloride retains moisture for prolonged periods. This unique property helps to hold down dust and stabilize unpaved road surfaces, creating smooth-riding roads that last. Since calcium chloride treated roads need less maintenance than roads treated with other materials, you can save on labor, equipment and fuel costs. By maximizing compaction, calcium chloride also provides a longer lasting road. The cost of aggregate replacement can be reduced when calcium chloride is properly applied.  Because calcium chloride speeds compaction, less rolling is required to achieve greater density-which translates into greater labor savings. When used with full depth reclamation, calcium chloride can help greatly reduce road reconstruction cost's.
